Not all Marketing Tools that use Email are the same

What was the very first Marketing Automation platform that you used and the first job where you used it? Was it Marketo or HubSpot ? Maybe it was a newer marketing automation platform for SMBs like SharpSpring? If you’ve only used email marketing tools like MailChimp or Constant Contact it’s tempting to think marketing automation is a robust version of the same tool because they both can send emails. But marketing automation is significantly different from email marketing and the most successful practitioners need to understand this to get Marketo’s true value: communicating on a one-to-one basis with customers at scale.
